Our aim is to give members the opportunity to make friends with people with similar artistic interests, as well as providing the opportunity for members to enjoy stimulating and interesting lectures, study days and outings which will increase their knowledge and understanding of the decorative and fine arts. In addition, we organise Visits to art galleries, museums and places of special historic, architectural, cultural or topical interest at home & abroad.

Our involvement is also extensive in activities such as Church Trails, Church Recording, Heritage Volunteers & Young Arts. We also arrange short tours in the United Kingdom and abroad. Recent overseas visits include Lisbon, Madrid and Dresden. Next year a visit to St Petersburg is planned for March 2018.

Lectures are held monthly in Sherfield-on-Loddon Village Hall. Coffee is available from 10.00 to 10.30 and the lectures start at 10.45 for 1 hour. Visitors may attend three lectures a year with a member, at a cost of £8 per lecture. However any member wishing to bring a visitor must contact the Membership Secretary in advance to ascertain if there are spaces as the hall is only insured for a limited number. Members on the waiting list may also come to three lectures a year at the same cost with the same condition of advance notice. Anyone on our Waiting List is welcome to join us on our Visits if these are not fully booked. This information is put on the News page.
